Collaborative projects and initiatives

NSW Farmers collaborates with leading innovation bodies to deliver projects that are future-focussed and seek to fill gaps in mainstream R&D and extension.

Working with our supporters in a community of practice, our aim is to bring together leading edge researchers and technologists with farmers and other practitioners to develop, test and communicate solutions. The AgInnovators’ web portal and social media channels provide a platform to share results and extension resources generated by the projects.

Next Gen Compost

Next Gen Compost is a two-year project commenced in 2016 aimed at increasing the use of compost made from recycled organic waste in commercial vegetable production. The project is funded by the NSW Environment Protection Authority under its Waste Less Recycle More Organics Market Development Grant Program.
